Celebration assembly

On Friday it was our very first celebration assembly in Year 3.

Mrs. Williams presented all the awards to the chosen children.

In 3.3 the two fantastic children chosen were Carla-Louise Gaskin and James-Junior Taggart.

Carla has shown great understanding in Guided Reading whilst reading our class book, Barney the Boatdog.

However, James was chosen for his exceptional manners and always being polite.

Also, Amaan and Helena received there awards for having the best fact-files about Queen Elizabeth II.

Well done to these children!

Tunes Times Table!

In Maths today we had so much fun learning our 3 times tables. A special visitor called Mr NK, came in and he taught us how to remember our times-tables using rapping and singing. We all joined in and had a go!

Longest reigning Queen!

Last Wednesday Queen Elizabeth II became Britain's longest reigning monarch, overtaking in length the reign of her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria. To mark this special occasion, 3.3 did lots of research and learnt all about her. The children then created fact-files about the queen which were all extremely well written.

However, there were two exceptionally well written fact-files by Helena and Amaan. These two children will receive a special medal as a prize.

Well done to Helena and Amaan.

Our first week in 3.3!

We have had a fantastic first week back in our new class. Ms. Uddin and the Year 3 teaching staff have all been extremely impressed with how well the children have adjusted and adapted to Key Stage 2. In English, we have been looking at the picture book Flotsam and we had to order the pictures from the book and write about the journey of the camera.

In Maths, we have been doing lots of mental maths work and the afternoons have been P.H.S.E based. We looked at our class rules and what makes a good classmate.
